What can viewers, commenters and editors do?

Your role is shown next to the file name at the top of a shared document or spreadsheet, together with who shared it. Click it to see who else has access or to request edit access

The owner is the person who created or uploaded the file. The owner invites people, changes roles, removes access and manages the link. Role changes apply right away, so someone who is editing sees the file switch to read-only the moment their role changes
