Can I edit presentations and PDFs?

The AI can. Open Chat, attach the presentation or PDF, or point the AI at it in Files, and say what you need:

• "Add a slide about pricing after slide 3"
• "Translate this deck into Spanish"
• "Shorten the text on every slide"
• "Merge these two PDFs" or "split this PDF by chapter"
• "Turn this PDF into a Word document"

The AI saves the result as a new file, so your original stays as it was. It can also create a presentation or PDF from scratch

You can also edit them yourself.

Presentations (.pptx) open in the slides editor from the Presentations page, where you can start a blank deck or a template, edit text and shapes, add images and reorder slides.

PDFs open in the PDF editor from the PDF page to edit text and images in place, add highlights, notes and shapes, fill forms and rearrange pages. Both editors save automatically with version history

To create a new PDF, start a blank one from the PDF page, or write it as a document in Docs, use File → Download → PDF document and open the PDF here
